As part of the evolving waterfront vision, the masterplan also explored the integration of a new NRL field and community sporting precinct aligned with the growing momentum of the Papua New Guinea NRL bid.

Positioned along the foreshore, the facility was envisioned as both a recreational and civic destination that could host local matches, training programs and community events while reinforcing the importance of rugby league within Papua New Guinean culture. The inclusion of the field aimed to activate the waterfront with year-round public use, strengthen youth and community engagement, and establish a landmark sporting destination within Port Moresby.
