Third Place Brewing - Nobbys Beach
-
At Nobbys Beach, third place brewing was conceived as a pragmatic yet expressive structure that reflects both its coastal setting and the raw character of beer production.
The architecture deliberately embraces off-the-shelf materials, galvanized flooring as facade treatment, concrete blockwork, timber beams to create a straightforward, honest construction language that feels grounded and unpretentious.
Rather than disguising its industrial nature, the building leans into it, using repetition, texture, and light to generate visual interest and atmosphere.
Inside, the structure remains legible and open, allowing visitors to read the brewing process as part of the spatial experience. The result is an architectural expression that aligns the building’s material honesty with the character of the beer itself—robust, accessible, and crafted with clarity rather than excess. -
